RYT and Yoga I.S® Certification Guidelines
 

1 .   Those wishing to achieve their 200RYT or 500 RYT certification must obtain all coursework through the same school to submit to Yoga Alliance® Go to www.yogaalliance.orgfor more information on the RYT certification and application process

 

2.    Yoga I.S® 200-hour Certification requirements:  

a.    All 6 weekends of the 200-hour coursework be attended and completed

Note: If you cannot attend one of the classes, you may reschedule the class at another scheduled Yoga I.S. course.  You may reschedule up to 14 days before a scheduled course you are registered for.            

b.    Registry with Yoga Alliance and for your 200 RYT.  

c.    Submission of required readings, class observations, class instruction, papers, and journal entries to Yoga I.S®  

d.    Online tests for each weekend must be completed and passed.

You will need a special code to take these tests that will be issued upon completion of your 200-hour program to take the six online tests    

 

3.    Yoga I.S® 300-hour Certification requirements:  

a.    All 5 weekends of Mind-Body Connection coursework be attended and completed.

Note: If you cannot attend one of the classes, you may reschedule the class at another scheduled Yoga I.S. course.  You may reschedule up to 14 days before a scheduled course you are registered for  

b.    MAT Jumpstart Program completed

Note: These courses are provided at the host site of the Yoga I.S® course and can be registered for at www.yoga-i-s.com.  This coursework was developed by Greg Roskopf and Muscle Activation Techniques™.  It is not a yoga class, but is essential for all yoga teachers and required in the 300 hour program. If you are unable to attend the courses provided by YogaI.S®, you may register for an alternate Jump-Start course through www.muscleactivation.com.  You are NOT required to test for Jump Start to obtain the 300hour Yoga I.S.® Certification.  

c.    Completion of 77 hours of elective from: Yoga: Exercise and Prescription

d.    Submission of required readings, class observations, class instruction, papers, and journal entries to Yoga I.S®  

e.    Online tests for each weekend must be completed and passed.

You will need a special code to take these tests that will be issued upon completion of your 300-hour program to take the eight online tests

 

4.      Yoga I.S® Master 

a.    Completion of entire 200 hour and 300 hour coursework according to the guidelines listed in each program 

b.    Submission of required readings, class observations, class instruction, papers, and journal entries to Yoga I.S® for the 200-hour and 300-hour courses.  

c.    Submission of a Research Project of a subject of your choosing to be presented to Yoga I.S®.   This will be a scheduled meeting with the faculty member and applicant.  

d.    Applicant must conduct a specialty class with subject matter given to them by Yoga I.S®  faculty, who will be taking and observing the class.  This will be scheduled with the faculty member and applicant.  Class size to be determined  

e.    All online tests for 200 hour and 300 hour coursework, 14 in total, have been taken and satisfactorily passed  

f.     Completion of the MAT Jump-Start Program  

g.    RYT 500 level Registration with Yoga Alliance®
