Yoga I.S® 300-hour program

Click Here to begin Registration Process

The Yoga I.S.® 300 hour program comprised of three sections, is 11 weekends total.

-Get an in-depth understanding of muscles, their joint attachments, function, and mechanical abilities in Yoga for an education that is not available in any yoga teacher training to date!

-Understand why the Yogis from years ago came up with chakras and what they mean in relation to our central nervous system

-Understand the cutting edge information coming out of the fields of biochemisty and quantum physics that prove that we truly ARE mind-body! Understand what this means as a health professional and why meditation is essential for lowering stress levels

-Get the the most comprehensive joint range of motion and understanding of the power of isometric strength training with the revolutionary MAT Jump Start Program. You will be able to help more people than you ever thought possible!

-Want a career as a Yoga Instructor? Want to be able to train clients with Yoga? Yoga Mechanix™ is designed to educate you in the field of biomechanics, enabling you to make the right decisions about assessments and Yoga therapy that will truly help the individual reach his or her goals, given their structure, genetics, and emotional state.

-Learn to analyze the use of added resistance to yoga asanas. Most exercises we do today came from yoga. The problem is most people never learn to control their body first. It is more than holding a weight in your hand. They need to be used strategically! Yoga IS will teach you how to safely add weighted dumbells, elastic resistance, and instability tools to your yoga and Pilates classes to get the most from your practice.

-This is for Yoga teachers who have already completed a 200 hour certificate and want to continue their education to achieve the 500 hour Yoga Alliance Certification or combine with the Yoga I.S® 200-hour program on the road to becoming a Yoga I.S.® Master.

This program will cover the musculature and mechanics of the lower, trunk and spine, upper, and cervical regions of the body, including their relationship to the emotional centers, chakras, and yogic philosophy. This will be reinforced with the analysis and practice of many beyond-basic postures related to each area. The last course of part one will cover intention, biochemistry, scientific research on meditation and biofeedback, stress reduction, an introduction to Heart-Math®, and yoga therapy/ prescription and progression.

Part Three: Yoga Mechanix™Exercise and Prescription.  A resistance application continuum is the feature of Part Three.  It is comprised of three required elective courses designed to give the yoga teacher the tools to utilize and put into practice the information taught in the 200 and 300 hour courses in order to design specific programs for various individuals using the methods of Hatha Yoga and Yoga I.S®.  This section will offer a more in-depth analysis of biomechanics and yoga, client intake and assessment, the scope of practice of a yoga teacher, the science of progression, and ethics of the teacher-student relationship.  Learn how to incorporate added resistance in yoga postures, analyze and incorporate Pilates exercises into yoga, and how to teach yoga with stability balls and mini-balls to add new variety and challenge to your classes and help decide when they are appropriate.
