RYT 200, 300, and 500-hour Teacher Training

 

Yoga I.S. The Yoga I.S.® 200 hour program, is comprised of six weekends, all 3-4 day courses.

-This training is approved to meet the Yoga Alliance 200 hour certification requirements. 
-This is for anyone who wants to learn about the system of Yoga to deepen their practice or become a certified yoga instructor.
-
This program will cover the origins of Hatha Yoga, historical and scientific information on flexibility and range of motion, structural 
anatomy and basic mechanics of lower body, trunk and spine, upper body and cervical regions of the body, and a comprehensive 
analysis of various applicable Hatha Yoga Poses. 
-
It will also include an introduction to the science of adjusting, how to incorporate yoga props, yoga philosophy and ethics 
pranayama/ breathing techniques and meditation, general sequencing techniques, the business of Yoga, and a daily yoga practice.
-
Several of the most influential Yoga Styles will be introduced, analyzed, and directly experienced.

 

The Yoga I.S.® 300 hour program, comprised of three sections, is 11 weekends total.

-Get an in-depth understanding of muscles, their joint attachments, function, and mechanical abilities in Yoga for an education that is not available in any yoga teacher training to date!

-Understand why the Yogis from years ago came up with chakras and what they mean in relation to our central nervous system

-Understand the cutting edge information coming out of the fields of biochemisty and quantum physics that prove that we truly ARE mind-body! Understand what this means as a health professional and why meditation is essential for lowering stress levels

-Get the the most comprehensive joint range of motion and understanding of the power of isometric strength training with the revolutionary MAT Jump Start Program.  You will be able to help more people than you ever thought possible!

-Want a career as a Yoga Instructor?  Want to be able to train clients with Yoga?  Yoga Mechanix™ is designed to educate you in the field of biomechanics, enabling you to make the right decisions about assessments and Yoga therapy that will truly help the individual reach his or her goals, given their structure, genetics, and emotional state. 

-Learn to analyze the use of added resistance to yoga asanas.  Most exercises we do today came from yoga.  The problem is most people never learn to control their body first.  It is more than holding a weight in your hand.  They need to be used strategically!  Yoga IS will teach you how to safely add weighted dumbells, elastic resistance, and instability tools to your yoga and Pilates classes to get the most from your practice.
